Ox cheek has traditionally been popular in ethnic and French cooking, but is just as at home in traditional British stews and casseroles.
Technically it is low-fat offal, so if you want a different healthy option that won’t break the bank, Ox Cheek is for you. Lending itself to our favourite term, this is a “slow cook meat”, it can be tough if not cooked correctly. Long-slow-cooking is fine by me because the resulting tender texture is beyond belief.
